Insurance companies total loss value reports always seem to come in low. I paid the $350 fee to DV Check and next thing I'm getting paid out $8700 instead of the $6700 that I was originally offered. If your insurance company is not willing to negotiate directly with you, don't take the low ball value report. Let these guys take care of it and get fair value for your vehicle.
Jim and Hannah helped a ton. I was initially offered $9000 for my 2019 Camry that was considered totaled by insurance company. Jim told me about the Appraisal clause. I hired Jim as my car appraiser. The DVCheck team was very helpful in my negotiations with the insurance company for a driver that hit me. Being in insurance myself, I was aware of my right to pursue diminished value for the damage that was done to my car, but I really didn't know what the process was to make that happen. They were great with providing me not only the needed documents but also suggested talk paths with the other insurance company. The process really was a negotiation, and the initial offer from the other company was below $1000, and by the time we were done, the final agreed number was over $3200, which was within $200 of the number that DVCheck initially had put together. DVCHECK did an awesome job for me! I think my insurance company thought they could make a low offer on my total loss and then stall until I was desperate and had to accept their offer. I spoke with my insurance company until I was blue in the face and sent them countless emails with comps showing them the total loss value of my car was significantly higher than the valuation CCC One had done. Even spoke with CCC One. They didn't listen to anything I had to say and were of the opinion that whoever talked the loudest wins. DVCheck appraised my car quickly and my insurance company agreed the next day to a loss value that was 43% more than they had offered me!
Outstanding expertise and advocacy! My almost new Nissan Sentra had rear-end damage requiring $9k in repairs. Insurance company offered $1300 for post-repair diminished value. DVCHECK appraisal and negotiation, with my invocation of the appraisal clause (Georgia) per their advice, led to a settlement for $4k for diminished value.
